The State of Driver's Education in Ohio
Ohio minors must complete the following requirements to earn their license:
- 24 hours of classroom instruction
- 8 hours of driving with an instructor
- 50 hours of supervised driving (10 hours at night)
But drivers 18 years old or older do not have to meet these requirements.
An estimated 50,000 YOUNG DRIVERS hit the road without completing driver's education in 2021.
That's why we must bring driver training into Ohio classrooms.
Preparing Young Drivers
We are raising funds to establish up to five more simulator labs in Ohio schools. Target locations include:
- South-Western City Schools
- Delaware County
- Licking County
- Pickaway County
- Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Columbus
